NGC 329 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 238 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 327 it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy pair Holm 30 and together with NGC 325 presumably an interacting trio.
In the same area of the sky there is still u. a. the galaxy NGC 321 .
The object was discovered on September 27, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
