NGC 355 is a lenticular galaxy of Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 327 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 347 , NGC 349 , NGC 350 , NGC 357 .
The object was discovered on September 27, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
