NGC 4201 is a lenticular galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 235 million light years away from the Milky Way and is about 65,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy NGC 4225 is located in the same area of the sky .
The property was discovered by Francis Leavenworth in 1886 .
