NGC 4225 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 226 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 4188 , NGC 4201 , NGC 4263 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on March 9, 1828 by John Herschel .
