NGC 5608 is a 13.4 likes bright irregular galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type in the constellation Bootes the northern sky . It is estimated to be 34 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on April 9, 1787 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "" F, pL, E, vlbM ".
