NGC 7135 = IC 5136 is an active elliptical galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Piscis Austrinus in the southern sky . It is an estimated 119 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 7130 and IC 5131 , among others .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 23, 1834 .
