Two strong guys (original title: Italian Nati con la camicia ) is a film comedy and agent thriller parody with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer from 1983. The film was released in Germany on September 23, 1983.

action

Charming drifter Rosco Frazer and recently released Doug O'Riordan get to know each other in a rowdy brawl with truckers at a fast food place and then continue in a truck, mistaking the other for the truck owner.

They are stopped for speeding by two policemen who they mistake for long-term wanted truck thieves. However, Rosco's abilities as a ventriloquist can deceive the police and escape. Doug would rather escape alone, but he can't get rid of Rosco. They take the police car to the airport to go into hiding. Since the flight to Miami is fully booked, they pretend to be Steinberg and Mason, who are asked several times over the public address system to pick up their tickets - not knowing that they are two CIA agents. As such, they are given a suitcase containing a million dollars. After various mishaps and entanglements, they are brought to the CIA headquarters to see “Tiger”, their new boss. They are often asked to conceal certain incidents in their final report.

Rosco and Doug are said to be posing as rich Texans. They do this very well and in the end they finally find the megalomaniac criminal K1 , who wants to extinguish humanity's understanding of all numbers with his K-bomb . You stop him. In the end, they have nothing more of their perks - including the suitcase with the one million dollars - because "Tiger" has already overzealously given the money back to the authorities. Only one visit to the President of the USA remains for the friends.

useful information

  • The scenes on the ship in which Rosco and Doug fight K1 were on the cruise ship, festivals of Carnival Cruise Lines shot that was traveling with passengers.
  • In the scene after Steinberg and Mason's car exploded, you can see Spider and his wife still sitting in the car; After they drove off, you can briefly see the reflection of the camera team in the back window of the car.
  • The running gag of the film is that Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, as agents, are always asked by the other agents not to report their mishaps, delays or mistakes to their superiors or not to mention them in their report.
  • Two strong guys is one of the few Spencer Hill films that were not edited by Karlheinz Brunnemann or Rainer Brandt in Berlin. The Munich dubbed version was in the hands of Ivar Combrinck , who wrote the book and directed the dialogue. As usual, Terence Hill and Bud Spencer are spoken by Thomas Danneberg and Wolfgang Hess . Erik Schumann lent his voice to David Huddleston and Herbert Weicker dubbed Buffy Dee.
  • In Germany, the film attracted 1,674,363 viewers to the cinemas.

criticism

“The well-known plot is expanded to include moderately comical swipes on the 'James Bond' series. More cautious with the usual flogging, but hardly more imaginative than earlier Spencer / Hill films. "
