Niedźwiedzi Róg [ ɲɛd͡ʑˈvjɛd͡ʑi ˈruk ] ( German Bärenwinkel ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Ruciane-Nida ( urban and rural community Rudczanny / Niedersee - Nieden ) in the Powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ).
history
The small village, called Niedzwiedzirog after 1785 and Niedzwedzirog after 1818 , originally consisted of only two small farms. It is located in the south-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship on the south bank of the Spirdingsee ( Jezioro Śniardwy in Polish ), 13 kilometers northwest of the district town of Pisz ( Johannisburg in German ). In 1874, the manor district, called Bärenwinkel from 1907, was incorporated into the newly established Snopken district (1938 to 1945 Wartendorf , Polish : Snopki ), but was reclassified into the Weissuhnen district (Polish: Wejsuny ) before 1908 . Both times part of the circle Johannesburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905: Administrative district Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1895 Bärenwinkel had 48 inhabitants. In 1910 the estate lost its independence and was incorporated into the neighboring community of Konzewen (1938 to 1945 Warnold , in Polish Końcewo ).
Religions
Until 1945 the place was parish in the Protestant village church Groß Weissuhnen in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and also in the Roman Catholic Church Johannisburg in the Diocese of Warmia . The relationship to these two churches did not change even after 1945, when Bärenwinkel became a Polish town as "Niedźwiedzi Róg" and was part of the urban and rural community Ruciane-Nida (Rudczanny / Niedersee - Nieden) in the Powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ) and up to 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , but since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
traffic
Its remote location makes a rail connection impossible, only a side road leads from Wejsuny to the town on the Spirdingsee shore. In 2011, Niedźwiedzi Róg had 107 inhabitants and is currently a Schulzenamt ( Sołectwo in Polish ) within the urban and rural community of Ruciane-Nida.
