Zdrużno [ ˈzdruʐnɔ ] ( German Sdrusno , 1938 to 1945 Eichenborn ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Ruciane-Nida ( urban and rural community Rudczanny / Niedersee - Nieden ) in the powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ).
geography
Zdrużno is located in the southeast of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship in the middle of the Johannisburger Heide ( Polish: Puszcza Piska ). The Olsztyn – Ełk railway line runs north of the village . It is 23 kilometers to the east to the district town of Pisz ( Johannisburg in German ).
Zdrużno is on a country road that connects Ruciane-Nida and Karwica Mazurska (Kurwien train station) . Karwica Mazurska is the nearest train station and is on the Olsztyn – Ełk ( German Allenstein – Lyck ) railway line .
history
The former forester Sdrusno and today's forest estate (Polish Osada leśna ) Zdrużno was until 1945 in the town Nieden (Polish Nida incorporated, today district of Gmina Ruciane-Nida) and belonged to the circle Johannesburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905: Administrative district Allenstein ) in the Prussian Province of East Prussia . On June 1 (officially confirmed on 16 July) 1938 the town was foreign-sounding place names in "Eichenborn" for political-ideological basis of the defense renamed .
As a result of the war, Eichenborn came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name “Zdrużno”. Today the settlement is a place within the urban and rural community Ruciane-Nida (Rudczanny / Niedersee - Nieden) in the powiat Piski (district of johannisburg ), until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
Religions
Until 1945 Sdrusno (Eichenborn) was in the Protestant church Alt Ukta and from 1920 in its branch church Rudczanny (1938 to 1945 Niedersee , Polish Ruciane ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church in Johannisburg im Diocese of Warmia as a parish. Today Zdrużno belongs on the Catholic side to the Parafia Trójcy Świętej in Ruciane-Nida in the Diocese of Ełk of the Polish Catholic Church , on the Protestant side to the parish in Pisz in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
