Nordre Land is a municipality in the province ( Fylke ) Innlandet in Norway .
The municipality is located at the northern end of the Randsfjord in the southwest of the province of Innlandet. It is essentially a scattered settlement with three closed buildings. These are the villages of Dokka , Nord-Torpa and Aust-Torpa. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Dokka.
48% of the approximately 3,500 people in employment in the municipality work in the service sector, 32% in industry (furniture) and construction, and 19% in agriculture and forestry. There is also a greater number of commuters who work outside the municipality, mostly weekend commuters.
Dokka has an open-air museum with around 30 different buildings. Old rock carvings can be found at Møllerstufoss and the Etna rivers.
Anna Rogstad (1854–1938), the first woman in Storting, came from Nordre Land .
