Patrick Buzás (born May 17, 1987 in Augsburg ) is a German - Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Düsseldorfer EG in the German ice hockey league since the 2018/19 season .
Career
The 1.83 m tall striker learned to play ice hockey at ESV Pinguine Königsbrunn before moving to the Augsburg EV youth team in 2000.
After he had played for the junior team Augsburger Jungpanther in the regional league , the left shooter also ran for the pros, the Augsburger Panther , in the DEL in the 2005/06 season . After one year, the cooperation partner EV Landsberg in the 2. Bundesliga Buzás returned in 2006 back to the Panthers, where he regularly stood in the highest German ice hockey league on the ice. In 2009 he moved to the league competitor in Ingolstadt.
On July 26, 2009, Patrick Buzás was seriously injured in a car accident in Augsburg, whereupon he had to undergo an operation on his cervical vertebrae. After lengthy rehabilitation measures, he played his first DEL game for ERC Ingolstadt at the beginning of the 2010/11 season.
On March 22, 2012, he announced his move to the Nürnberg Ice Tigers for the 2012/13 season and played there for 6 years. For the 2018/19 season, Buzás moved to league rivals Düsseldorfer EG.
International
Patrick Buzás has played twelve games (two assists) for the German national team , and he also took part in the 2007 U20 World Junior Championship with the U20 national team.
InLine Hockey
In addition to his career in ice hockey, Buzás also played successfully nationally and internationally in in-line hockey .
