Perwenitz is a district of the municipality of Schönwalde-Glien in the east of the Havelland district in the state of Brandenburg . Until October 26, 2003 Perwenitz was an independent municipality, which was administered by the office Schönwalde-Glien .

location

Perwenitz is part of the Ländchen Glien , a plateau northwest of Berlin . The place is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Berlin city center, other cities in the area are Falkensee about ten kilometers southeast, Nauen about ten kilometers southwest and Oranienburg about 19 kilometers as the crow flies northwest. To the north of Perwenitz, there is the Krämer forest area . Surrounding towns are to the municipality Oberkrämer in Oberhavel belonging districts New Vehlefanz in the north and high shopkeeper in the Northeast, Schönwalde village in the east, the Falkenseer district Waldheim in the southeast, Brieselang in the south, couples in the ganglia in the west and Green Field to the northwest.

The name Perwenitz appears for the first time in 1248 in the form of the personal name Danieli et Eberhardo Parwenitz , the place was first mentioned in 1421 under the name Paruenitz . The place name comes from Slavic and is derived from the name of a former village owner. This is indicated by the ending -itz , which in Slavic place names indicates that they belong to a certain person.

Historically Perwenitz belonged to the Havelländische Kreis , from which the Glien-Löwenbergische Kreis emerged towards the end of the 18th century . The place was an office Vorwerk the Office Löhme After the Congress of Vienna took place in the Kingdom of Prussia to a district reform, the ganglia Lions Bergisch district was dissolved on 1 April 1817 which resulted. The municipality of Perwenitz thus became part of the Osthavelland district in the Prussian administrative district of Potsdam . In a population census of the administrative district in 1841, Perwenitz and its Vorwerk had 326 inhabitants, the church of the village belonged to couples as a branch church .

After the end of the Second World War, Perwenitz was initially in the Soviet occupation zone and on October 7, 1949 became part of the GDR , where the place was part of the state of Brandenburg . On July 25, 1952, the state of Brandenburg and the Osthavelland district were dissolved and the Perwenitz community came to the Nauen district in the Potsdam district . After the reunification , the Nauen district was renamed the Nauen district, which merged with the Rathenow district to form the new Havelland district in the course of the district reform in December 1993 . On October 26, 2003 Perwenitz was incorporated into Schönwalde-Glien .

Attractions

The village church Perwenitz was built from 1838 in a two-year construction period. The building is a plastered hall with a square west tower under a pointed helmet . The nave is provided with large arched windows. Inside the church there is a flat beamed ceiling with originally painted cassette fields and a three-sided gallery . The furnishings of the church come from the construction period, including an organ by the organ builder Gottlieb Heise from 1841. The church is located in the northern part of Perwenitz and is a listed building .

Further sights are the Perwenitz manor house built by Fritz Harney in 1935 and the Perwenitz television tower, which was commissioned in 1959 . The latter was needed for the GDR-wide broadcast of German television .

Economy and Infrastructure

Perwenitz is on the road 161 to Vehlefanz . In addition, the state road 16 runs between Börnicke and Berlin-Spandau through the district, immediately west of Perwenitz is the federal motorway 10 . The closest junction, Falkensee, is around five kilometers away.

To the south of Perwenitz there is a small industrial area in which, among other things, a production facility for Coca-Cola and the meat wholesaler Birkenhof are located. There is a primary school and a day-care center in Perwenitz .
