Peter Schorn

Peter Schorn (* 1978 in Brixen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian actor with a German-speaking background.

Life

Education and theater

Peter Schorn, who wanted to become an actor at the age of 15, completed a psychology degree at the University of Innsbruck . From 1998 to 2000 he studied applied theater education and received his acting training a. a. with Felix Rellstab at the Zurich Acting Academy . He also attended the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York City in the summer of 2007 . In 2010 he passed the state ZAV examination.

Since 2004 he has lived as a freelance actor in South Tyrol and works mainly in Bolzano and Brixen. Schorn gained his first professional theater experience in the dance theater at the Brixen Theater Pedagogical Center , where he worked in choreographies by Elfi Troi for a total of four years . In 2006 he played for the first time with the "Gruppe Dekadenz", a free South Tyrolean theater ensemble under the direction of the actor and director Georg Kaser (* 1953), where in later years he repeatedly appeared in various productions ( William Shakespeare , Werner Schwab , Thomas Bernhard , Federico García Lorca , Georg Büchner , Brecht / Weill) and played roles like Hamlet and Mackie Messer.

Since 2006 he has appeared regularly at the United Theaters of Bozen , where he played numerous roles in the classical and modern theater repertoire. His roles there included a. Medvedenko in Die Möwe (2006, directed by Kurt Veth ), Camille in Flea in the Ear of Georges Feydeau (2007, directed by Peter Pikl ), Lord Savage in Jekyll & Hyde -Musical (2007, directed by Hans Holzbecher ), Felix in Der lonely way (2007, directed by Patrick Guinand ), Christopher Wren in Die Mausefalle (2009, directed by Georg Clementi ), Marchese di Albafiorita in Die Wirtin by Peter Turrini (2012, directed by Georg Clementi), Schnock in A Midsummer Night's Dream (2016, Director: Georg Schmiedleitner ), Razmann in Die Räuber (2016, director: Philipp Jescheck ), Alfred Klapproth in Pension Schöller (2017, director: Maya Fanke) and Lieutenant Cabinet in the musical West Side Story (2017, director: Rudolf Frey ).

In the 2017/18 season he took on the speaking role of lieutenant Eugen von Rohnsdorff in the Kálmán operetta Die Csárdásfürstin at the United Theaters in Bozen . In the 2017/18 season he also appeared at the Theater an der Effingerstrasse in Bern as a director in Max Frisch's play Biography: Ein Spiel . In September 2018 he performed together with Georg Kaser in the Regensburg cultural and creative industry “Das Degginger” in a two-person version of Goethe's Faust . In the 2018/19 season he played a pork lobbyist at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen in the stage version of the bestseller Die Hauptstadt by Robert Menasse, developed by Tom Kühnel and Ralf Fiedler .

He has also appeared several times at the Lana open-air theater and in productions by the cross-genre “Factory Azzurro”. He was also a founding member of the cabaret and improvisation theater "Carambolage" in Bolzano. He also works in South Tyrol as a radio comedian and "Telefonschreck" and appears at the summer theater in Brixen "Tschumpus".

Movie and TV

Schorn worked in numerous German, Austrian and Italian cinema and television productions. He worked u. a. directed by Giuseppe Tornatore , Til Schweiger , Wolfgang Murnberger , Mirjam Unger and Umut Dağ .

He made his cinema debut in Philipp J. Pamer's historical film Bergblut (2010). Schorn, who also spoke Italian in this production , took on a leading role in the episode alongside Terence Hill in the Italian television series Die Bergpolizei - Very Close to Heaven , set in South Tyrol . In the ZDF television series Mordkommission Königswinkel (2017), which was discontinued after the opening film , Schorn played the Italian restaurant owner and alleged mafioso Francesco Danesi alongside Vladimir Burlakov . In the 19th season of the ZDF series Die Rosenheim-Cops (2019), Schorn took on a leading role in the episode as groom Thomas Greiner and co-owner of a company for industrial construction.

Private

Peter Schorn has one son and lives with his family in South Tyrol.
