Petr Pohl (born August 28, 1986 in Kopřivnice , Czechoslovakia ) is a German - Czech ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 .
Career
Pohl began his career in the 2000/2001 season in the youth division of HC Vítkovice . In summer 2003, his move was made to North America in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where he worked for two seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques played before it from the 2005/06 season for the league rivals d'Acadie-Bathurst Titan on the ice.
Between 2006 and 2009, the attacker was under contract with Syracuse Crunch from the American Hockey League , where he rarely received assignments and was mostly used in the East Coast Hockey League with the Dayton Bombers and later with the Johnstown Chiefs , in the meantime Pohl was in the Central Hockey League handed over to the Youngstown SteelHounds .
In summer 2009 the Czech moved back to Europe and was at the beginning of the season with the Finnish first division SaiPa under contract before he was loaned to Jukurit for a game in the second division during the current season . From the 2010/11 season Pohl was back in his home country for his training club HC Vítkovice Steel and left the club for the 2012/13 season in the direction of HC Karlovy Vary . In May 2014 he moved to the German Ice Hockey League (DEL), where he played for the Eisbären Berlin until the end of the 2015/16 season.
For the 2016/17 season he moved to ERC Ingolstadt within the DEL .
Between 2017 and December 2018, Pohl was under contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers . In August 2018, he suffered a concussion so that he missed the start of the season. In November 2018 he trained with HC Sparta Prague , terminated his contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers and then received a trial contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg .
At the beginning of the 2019/20 season he was without a club before he was signed by the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 in October 2019, where he became a top performer at the end of the season. After the season, he received no contract extension and left the club.
