Philip Schwarz (born November 30, 1978 , according to other sources 1981 , in Ulm ) is a German actor , voice actor and musical artist .

Life

Family and education

Philip Schwarz was born on the Ulm Michelsberg ; his mother was a teacher at the Schubart-Gymnasium , his father a newspaper editor at the Südwest Presse , later head of department at Bayerischer Rundfunk . He spent his early childhood in Pfuhl and started school in Offenhausen . At the age of seven he moved to Hamburg with his mother .

Philip Schwarz made his first artistic experiences as a child, performing in the carnival club. After graduating from high school, Schwarz began studying law in Hamburg and later, like his father, became a journalist , but then, encouraged by friends, decided to take up acting.

He completed his acting training at the Stage School in Hamburg , and later from 1998 to 2002 at the Vienna Conservatory . He also received vocal training . During his studies he already had engagements at the Stadttheater Baden , the Raimundtheater , the Wiener Volkstheater , the Wiener Metropol as well as the Stockerauer Festival and the summer plays in Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria .

In 2003 he attended the Vienna Film School in preparation for his film roles. In 2007 he trained as a voice actor with Joachim Kunzendorf in Berlin . He later attended acting courses for film at Camera Actors Studio Berlin and HB Studio (Herbert Berghof Studio) in New York .

After his training, Schwarz was permanently engaged at the Heilbronn Theater from 2003 to 2005 . This was followed by appearances in independent theater ensembles in Berlin ( Orphtheater , Theater La Luz), before he worked for a few years mainly in Northern Germany .

He played at the Harburger Theater (2011), at the Altonaer Theater (2012–2014, there among other things as the students Rosen and Husemann in Die Feuerzangenbowle ) and at the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg . In 2010 he briefly took over the title role of "half-blood" Ik Senanda in the play of the same name alongside Eva Habermann at the Karl May Games . In 2011 he played the Indian Shi-So in The Oil Prince . In 2016 he was in Bad Segeberg at the side of Susan Sideropoulos as a cowgirl in the play Der Schatz im Silbersee der Indians "Little Bear", the last of the Tonkawa tribe.

He could not accept an engagement at the Karl May Festival planned for 2015, as he was already contractually committed to the Jagsthausen Castle Festival , where he appeared in several productions and roles in 2014/2015. There he was u. a. 2015 in the role of Franz Partner of Jasmin Wagner (as Adelheid von Walldorf) in Götz von Berlichingen , sang and played the student Perchik in the musical Anatevka and took on roles in children's and family plays.

With the Rosamunde Pilcher adaptation Die Muschelsucher he went on a theater tour with Doris Kunstmann in 2014. In the 2015/16 season he appeared in the Feuerzangenbowle at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm .

In 2017, Schwarz appeared again at several Hamburg theaters (Harburger Theater, Altonaer Theater, Hamburger Kammerspiele ). In the 2018/19 season he appeared in the role of the autistic university professor Ever in Mark St. Germain's comedy Die Tanzstunde at the Altstadttheater Ingolstadt.

Film, television, speakers

In addition to his theater work, Schwarz occasionally took on a few film and television roles. He had guest appearances in several TV series, mostly produced and filmed in Hamburg, such as Notruf Hafenkante , Die Rettungsflieger and Großstadtrevier .

In January 2019, he was seen in the ZDF television series Katie Fforde alongside Bernhard Piesk and Sabine Postel in a supporting role as the brother of the main male character.

Schwarz works as a voice actor a. a. for productions by Studio Hamburg , e.g. B. as a permanent spokesperson for the Fireman Sam series , was a spokesperson for arte and KIKA , took on speaking roles in video games and worked as an advertising actor ( Deutsche Telekom , Parship ).

Private

His hobbies include a. Horseback riding , climbing and skiing . Schwarz, who holds a US green card , lives in Hamburg.
