Broken pill
Pillenbruch is a part of the Wüsten district of the Lippe town of Bad Salzuflen in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia .

The place is about three kilometers east of the desert and immediately west of the Lemgoer district Welstorf .
Waters
In pill break the 6.2 km long springs Glimke that at the Detmold Road on Vlothoer urban area in the salts leads .
Large parts of the Glimke are designated as the “ Glimketal ” nature reserve (LIP-040; 72.2 hectares ).
history
The place was founded in the Middle Ages as a Hagenhufendorf along the Glimke, probably by the Lords of Varenholz, first mentioned in a document in 1338 when the Westphalian - Waldeck family of Gogreven pledged the "Hagen zu Pillincbroke" and accessories to Bernhard von Exterde.
At the end of the 1780s, the Prussian rule ended in Pillenbruch, through exchange it was now assigned to the Lippe authorities.
In 1969 the municipality of Welstorf, to which Pillenbruch belonged, was split up: Welstorf was awarded to Lemgo, Pillenbruch and Vosshagen to Bad Salzuflen.
Surname
The name is derived from the Bruch belonging to Pehlen: "Pehlenbruch" = swamp landscape .

South of Pillenbruch is the Pillenbruch wind farm , which was built in 2001/2002 . The Energy GmbH here operates eleven wind turbines - eight NEG Micon NM60 / 1000 / two Enercon E-58 / a 2500 Nordex N80 / , the wind energy into electrical energy (12.5 MW convert).
