The Piz Settember ( Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Surmiran for September ) is a mountain east of Ferrera and west of Riom-Parsonz in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with an altitude of 2728 m above sea level. M. It is the highest point between the Fuorcla Cotschna and the Pass da Schmorras. From the east it appears inconspicuously as a grass hill, from the west as a steep limestone rock. Its proximity to the Savognin ski area makes it an easy-to-reach ski touring mountain.
Location and surroundings
The Piz Settember belongs to the Piz Grisch group , a subgroup of the Oberhalbsteiner Alps . The municipal boundary between Surses and Ferrera runs above the summit in a north-south direction . The Piz Settember is bordered in the east by the Val Schmorras in the Val Nandro , a side valley of the Oberhalbstein, and in the west by the Ferrera valley.
The neighboring peaks include the Sur Carungas , the Piz Mez , the Piz Alv , the Piz Grisch and the Piz digl Gurschus . South of Piz Settember, between Piz Settember and Fuorcla Cotschna, is the Tschanghel Ner ridge , formerly also called Piz da Schmorras .
Valley locations are Ferrera, Riom and Parsonz. A common starting point is radon.
