The 1963 season was the 44th season of the Primera División de Costa Rica , the highest Costa Rican soccer league. Six teams took part. Uruguay de Coronado won the championship for the first time in the club's history.

Competition mode

  • The six participating teams played the master in a double round (home and away games) in the mode everyone against everyone .
  • The last placed played a relegation game against the champions of the second division.
