The 1950 season was the 30th season of the Primera División de Costa Rica , the highest Costa Rican soccer league. Nine teams took part. Alajuela won the championship for the 6th time in the club's history.

Competition mode

  • The nine participating teams played the championship in a single round (return leg) in the mode everyone against everyone .
  • The last placed played a relegation game against the champions of the 2nd division.

Copa Gran Bretaña 1950

The pre-season Copa Gran Bretaña 1950 won Saprissa 3-1 in the final against Heredia.

Torneo Relámpago 1950

The Torneo Relámpago , in which the first division teams took part and a game lasted only 30 minutes, Orión won 2-1 in the final against La Libertad.
