The 1965 season was the 46th season of the Primera División de Costa Rica , the highest Costa Rican soccer league. Ten teams took part. Saprissa won the championship for the 6th time in the club's history.

Competition mode

  • The ten participating teams played the championship in a double round (home and return games) in the mode everyone against everyone .
  • The last placed rose to the second division.
