Pulau Bait is an island belonging to the Malaysian state Sabah in Darvel Bay, which is open to the Celebes Sea . The predominantly forested island is about 10 kilometers northwest of Semporna . The largely flat island extends 7.3 kilometers in a northeastern direction and is up to 2 kilometers wide. In the southwest lies the 110 m high Bukit Limau Limau (lemon hill ). In the north, Pulau Bait borders directly on Pulau Silawa ; the two islands are separated by a sandy, swampy strip at low tide. The island is separated from Pulau Larapan in the northeast by a navigable strait a few hundred meters narrow .
