Pulau Bai is an island belonging to Malaysia in Sandakan Bay . The bay with the island belongs geographically to the Sulu Sea .

history

William B. Pryer , the founder of the town of Sandakan , acquired the island from the North Borneo Chartered Company around 1890 and began various agricultural projects there. So he planted various products such as coconuts, coffee and betel nut palms on the island and ran cattle .
