Pulau Dinawan is an island in the Malaysian state of Sabah in the South China Sea . It is located about 3.5 kilometers from Kimanis in the extension of the mouth of the Sungai Kimanis and about 20 kilometers southwest of Kota Kinabalu .
Seen from the seaward side, Pulau Dinawan looks like it consists of three individual islands. The island is forested and surrounded by reefs and sandbanks. The private owner operates a tourist resort on the island.

Pulau Dinawan is often confused with the island of Pulau Danawan on the east coast of Sabah .
