Raúl Fernández (long jumper)

Raúl Fernández ( Raúl Fernández Pavón ; born March 8, 1978 in Brenes , Seville province ) is a former Spanish long jumper .

The vice-junior world champion from 1996 was eliminated from the qualification at the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 and Edmonton in 2001 .

In 2002 he won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna and was ninth at the European Championships in Munich .

In 2002 he became Spanish outdoor champion, 1997 and 2002 indoor.
