Redlands is a city in San Bernardino County in the US state of California , United States , with 68,800 inhabitants (as of 2004 ). The geographical coordinates are: 34.06 ° North, 117.17 ° West. The urban area has a size of 92.5 km².
The El Camino Real runs through the city .
Educational institutions
The city has a university ( University of Redlands ) with a bulldog as its mascot. Here taught u. a. Frederick Mayer .
There are also four high schools , Redlands High School , Redlands East Valley High School , Orangewood High School and Citrus Valley High School . The almost one hundred year old traditional school RHS has the Boston Terrier and the newer teaching facility REVHS has the wildcat as its own coat of arms and mascot animal .

ESRI's headquarters are in Redlands .
The urban airport ( English Redlands Municipal Airport , ICAO code : KREI) is used for general aviation . Interstate 10 freeway runs through Redlands. The railway line San Bernardino-Redlands is to be reactivated for passenger traffic under the name Arrow and is currently being built.
