Cabinet of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir II
The cabinet of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir II was the government of Iceland from May 10, 2009 to May 23, 2013 . It was replaced by the cabinet of Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson .
It was a coalition of the social democratic alliance and the left-green movement . Prime Minister was Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir from Allianz.
The cabinet of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir I had been in office as a minority government since February 1, 2009. Following the parliamentary elections in April 2009 , the governing parties had their own majority in parliament. Both governing parties initially provided five ministerial posts each. Two other ministers were non-party, they left the cabinet on September 2, 2010.
The second cabinet, Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, last consisted of nine ministers, five social democratic and four left-green.
