Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (. English for: " Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace ") is the eighth studio album of American punk rock - band The Offspring and was on 13 June 2008 on the label Columbia Records and Sony BMG released.
Emergence
The first work on the album started back in 2004. In September 2004, Holland said there were some new songs that sound pretty good. He also announced that the new album would be out in 2005. From June to August 2005, however, the work was interrupted to play on the Vans Warped Tour . Simultaneously with this tour, Sony BMG released a Greatest Hits album by The Offspring on June 27, 2005 . After the tour, work on the album was resumed. In September 2006, Bob Rock was announced as the producer . On November 16, 2006, the band finally announced on their website that recording had started in the studio.
In July 2007, rumors were confirmed that Adam Willard was leaving the band to concentrate on his work at Angels & Airwaves . Pete Parada was introduced as the new drummer , but Josh Freese , who was drummer for The Offspring in 2003, was won over to record the album .
On April 9, 2008 it was announced on the band's website that the recordings for the new album were completed. The album itself was released on June 11, 2008 in Japan , where it was provided with a bonus track. The album was released on June 13, 2008 in Germany , Austria and Switzerland , on June 16, 2008 in Great Britain and on June 17 in the USA .
