Robert Hartmann (born September 8, 1979 ) is a German football referee .

DFB referee

Hartmann has been a DFB referee since 2005 and whistles for SV Krugzell (referee group Kempten / Oberallgäu). Since the 2007/08 season he has been leading games in the 2nd Bundesliga . Since the 2010/2011 winter break, he has also been able to direct Bundesliga matches . He made his debut on February 19, 2011 in the game SC Freiburg against VfL Wolfsburg .

On June 19, 2011 Hartmann led the final of the U-19-Juniors Bundesliga in the VfL-Stadion on Elsterweg in Wolfsburg. The A-Juniors of VfL Wolfsburg prevailed 4: 2 (1: 0) against their peers of 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

Hartmann was the first referee in German professional football to use the free kick spray for the first time on October 17, 2014, during the game between VfL Bochum and SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga match that had previously been introduced by the DFL .

Hartmann holds a degree in business administration and lives in Wangen im Allgäu .
