Robert Schröder (born September 14, 1985 in Hanover ) is a German football referee . He is a member of the SG Blaues Wunder Hannover. For the 2018/19 season he was nominated by the DFB as a referee for the Bundesliga.

Schröder was born in Hanover. He completed an apprenticeship as a sports administrator and is currently working in technical support at DFB GmbH in Hanover.

He whistles for the SG Blaues Wunder Hannover in the Lower Saxony Football Association . Schröder has been a DFB referee since 2013. He had his first professional appearance in the 2013/14 season in the 3rd soccer league , the first encounter that was under his direction in this division was on August 17, 2013, when SSV Jahn Regensburg played against Chemnitzer FC . He has been playing in the 2nd Bundesliga since the 2015/16 season , making his debut on August 14, 2015 in the game SC Paderborn 07 against SV Sandhausen . In the 2015/16 season he was also used for the first time in the DFB Cup . He whistled the match between FC Erzgebirge Aue and SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the first main round on August 8, 2015.

On May 29, 2018, the DFB announced that Schröder, like Daniel Schlager , will also lead games in the Bundesliga as a referee from the 2018/19 season . Schröder made his debut in the Bundesliga on September 26, 2018 in RB Leipzig's 2-0 win against VfB Stuttgart .
