Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Blevins (born June 20, 1977 in Harris County , Texas ) is an American actor . He has established himself as a character actor of mostly evil characters in Hollywood.

Early years and careers

Ronnie Gene Blevins comes from Harris County in the southeastern US state of Texas and has been an actor in film and television since 2001. After graduating from high school and college in Texas, he moved to Los Angeles at the age of 22 , where he initially took acting classes for about a decade. In 2009 he produced and wrote the independent film American Cowslip, in which he starred in the lead role of Ethan Inglebrink as well as actors such as Val Kilmer , Diane Ladd , Rip Torn , Cloris Leachman , Bruce Dern and Peter Falk . For the latter, this engagement meant the last role in his career. Blevins says he learned a lot from him. But he finally gained fame primarily through his roles as a construction truck driver in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises from 2012 and as Willie-Russell in the movie Joe - The Revenge Is His by David Gordon Green from 2013. Other film appearances include AI - Artificial Intelligence , 7 Psychos , Jobs , Savaged , The Perfect Guy or Death Wish .

Personal

Blevins is blind in the left eye and deaf in one ear due to a cholesteatoma . He is under medical treatment for both complaints. He is married to the actress Veronica Burgess . Their son Leo was born on August 18, 2016.
