Rothenbuch Forest
The Rothenbucher Forst is a 33.76 km² community-free area in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart . The area is completely forested .

The Rothenbucher Forest is the second largest community-free area in the district and currently the tenth largest in Bavaria. It almost completely encloses the eponymous municipality of Rothenbuch . The highest point is the Hengstkopf at 506 m above sea level. NN . The community-free area extends from the Lohrbachtal near Heigenbrücken in the north to the Steinbachtal near Weibersbrunn in the south.

To the north of Rothenbuch is the three-meter-high Niklas Cross made of red sandstone.

The following nature reserves are wholly or partially in the area of the Rothenbucher Forest:
- Hafenlohrtal (NSG-00333.01)
- Metzgergraben - Krone (NSG-00414.01)
- Spessartwiesen (NSG-00586.01)
There are three lakes designated as natural monuments in the Rothenbuch Forest :
- The Bomigsee in the east of the forest.
- The Kaltengrundsee is located in the north.
- In the west of the area is the Breitsee.

The federal road 26 , the state road 2317 and the district roads AB 4, AB 5 and AB 6 run through the Rothenbucher Forst .
