Ryder , were a short-lived British band formed to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest . The members were Maynard Williams, Dudley Phillips , Paul Robertson, Andy Ebsworth, Geoff Leach and Rob Terry.

After the British Ryder preliminary decision with Runner in the Night (too dt. : Runners at night had won), they were allowed the United Kingdom to the Euro Vision Song Contest 1986 represented where they finished seventh.

The song Runner in the Night did not hit the charts.
