The Gmina wiejska Sławno is a rural municipality in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship , Powiat Sławieński . The seat of the district and rural community is the town of Sławno [ 'swavnɔ ] (German Schlawe ), which does not belong to the community itself.
The rural community has an area of 284.20 km², which includes the entire urban area, and a population of 8857 (June 30, 2019). Wójt (community leader) has been Wojciech Antoni Stefanowski since 2006.
In Poland, in addition to this Gmina in the Powiat Sławieński, there is another Gmina Sławno, which is located in the Powiat Opoczyński in the Łódź Voivodeship and is smaller in area and population than the one listed here.
