Saint-Denis-Lanneray is a French commune with 2,243 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaudun and the canton of the same name of Châteaudun .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Lanneray and Saint-Denis-les-Ponts , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Denis-les-Ponts .

location
The municipality is located around 45 kilometers south-southwest of Chartres , near the city of Châteaudun . The Loir River crosses the southern municipal area. Neighboring municipalities are: Logron in the north, Marboué in the northeast, Châteaudun in the east, La Chapelle-du-Noyer in the southeast, Cloyes-les-Trois-Rivières in the south and Commune nouvelle d'Arrou in the west and northwest.
