Schöchleins (colloquially: Schechlets or Schöchles ) is a district of the Mistelgau municipality in the Bayreuth district in Upper Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies at the foot of the Neubürg ( 586  m above sea level , 0.6 km northwest). In the northwest a branch of a deeply cut ditch reaches there, the source of which has dried up. A service road leads to Wohnsgehaig (0.7 km to the west) or to a communal road that runs to Gollenbach (1 km to the northeast).

history

In 1417 a "Heinrich Kunlein zu Schotleinß" was mentioned. This is also the first mention of the place by name. The place name is derived from the family name Schöttlein ( Schott ) of the original owner of the farm. The name is also attested elsewhere at this time. The farm included a house with barns, 30 days of arable land, 10 days of meadows, a wooden rack and a pasture . The place was in the Fraisch district of the Bamberg office Waischenfeld . Since 1573 had box office Waischenfeld the manorial system .

With the Gemeindeedikt (early 19th century) Schöchleins was the Rural Municipality Wohnsgehaig assigned. On July 1, 1972, this was incorporated into the municipality of Mistelgau as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
