Gollenbach is a district of the municipality of Mistelgau in the Bayreuth district in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The village lies at the foot of the Neubürg ( 586  m above sea level , 1.2 km west) and the Hollerberg ( 538  m above sea level , 0.9 km south-east), both of which belong to the northern foothills of Franconian Switzerland . Several sources of an unnamed left tributary of the pasture arise near the village , which flows into the Truppach on the left . A community road leads to Plösen to district road BT 2 (1.4 km northeast) or directly to BT 2 (0.7 km west). A communal road, crossing BT 2, leads to Harloth (0.7 km northwest).

history

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office of Bayreuth . With the community edict (early 19th century) Gollenbach was assigned to the tax district Mistelgau and the rural community Plösen . On January 1, 1972 Gollenbach was incorporated into the municipality of Mistelgau as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
