Friedrichsruh is a part of the municipality Mistelgau in the district of Bayreuth in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The wasteland lies on the Seitenbach (also called Eschenbach or Feilbrunnenbach), a right tributary of the Truppach . The Brunnberg hill ( 498  m above sea level ) is located about one kilometer east-southeast . To the north of the village lies the Lehen corridor , approx. 0.5 km east of the Ottenreut forest area. The state road 2186 leading to Upper Lake (1.1 km south-west) and on Engelmeß over after Tröbersdorf (4,5 km north-east).

history

According to the place name, the place was founded in the 18th century. The ending -ruh was initially used in 17./18. Century used for princely residences or country manors. The most prominent example is Karlsruhe . In the following years this fashion was adopted by private individuals.

With the community edict (early 19th century) Friedrichsruh was assigned to the tax district Truppach and the rural community Obernsees . On May 1, 1978 Friedrichsruh was incorporated into the municipality of Mistelgau as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
