German Chess League 2006/07 (Austria)

The 2006/07 season was the 32nd season of the Austrian Chess League . The game community Absam / Innsbruck , SK Baden and SK Leoben were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga .

While Leoben had to relegate together with the Jenbach chess club and the SV Tschaturanga Neubau , Absam and Baden achieved relegation.

Union Ansfelden won the title ahead of SV Wulkaprodersdorf , which was still in the lead before the final round. Defending champion Union Styria Graz had to be content with fourth place.

The syndicates SK Absam / Innsbrucker SK and Frohnleiten / Semriach disbanded after this season and entered the following season as SK Absam and SK Semriach.

Dates and venues

The competitions took place from November 3 to 5, 2006 in Graz , from January 18 to 21, 2007 in Leoben and from March 8 to 11, 2007 in Mattersburg .
