history

A castle or castle from the 15th century that stood in the same place can be identified as the previous building. This had a tower on the north and a courtyard with farm buildings on the south. In addition, a palace garden was part of the approximately one hectare facility. At the end of the 19th century, the then owner Richard Freiherr von Reischach , who was the chief steward of Queen Olga of Württemberg , planned a new building. In 1878 the economic building and the southern tower were built, nine years later the new construction of the palace was carried out by the Stuttgart architects Eisenlohr & Weigle . In the same year, the Kleine Schlössle opposite the present-day palace , a Romanized building with ornamental forms from the Gothic and Renaissance periods, was built. In 1888, today's inner courtyard with cloister was finally built and the horse stable was converted into a gardener's apartment. Finally the garden of the palace was redesigned to an English landscape garden.
