The Upper Castle Besigheim is a former castle in Church Street at the southern entrance of the town Besigheim in the district of Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built in 1215/30 by Margrave Hermann V von Baden and mentioned in 1312. The Castle House are preserved stone house , the former palace of the castle with a Romanesque fireplace and garderobe and the round with Humpback square brick 36-meter high castle keep , named after the tower guards Schoch Schoch Tower (1220 built). A caretaker's apartment was set up in the 16th century. The castle house is connected to the tower via the arch of the city gate. The furnishings with a Romanesque chimney and toilet bay can also be found in the lower castle . In front of the Schochenturm there is a Staufer column that was inaugurated in 2011 .
