Silent Screams is a metalcore band from Coventry , West Midlands , United Kingdom , formed in 2007 .

history

The metalcore band Silent Screams, founded in 2007, consists of the musicians Joel Heywood ( vocals ), Sam Varney ( guitar ), Ozzi Osman (guitar), Tom Craig ( backing vocals , bass ) and Adam Mallabone ( drums ).

In 2008 an EP “Ghosts” was released in-house. Together with British producer Matt Hyde , who already worked with As I Lay Dying , Gallows and Funeral for a Friend , the band produced a 2-track promo EP entitled "Hope" in an edition of 1000 which was sent to fans were given away. On October 24, 2011, the debut album "When It Rains" was released. The group is now under contract with Ghost Music , as u. a. also Doomed from Day One . The album was produced by Joey Sturgis , already with The Devil Wears Prada , Asking Alexandria , and Miss May I worked. The album was recorded at Foundation Studios in Indiana , USA .

The group toured with groups like Bring Me the Horizon , For the Fallen Dreams , Your Demise and Emmure before signing with the newly founded British label . The group has also played with Suffokate , Blind Witness (Return to Dispair UK Tour 2011), While She Sleeps and Bury Tomorrow (Ghostfest). In June 2010 the group toured Australia . Silent Screams was accompanied by Buried in Verona and Bermuda on the 15-concert tour.

In February and March 2012 Silent Screams was on tour through Germany together with the group Give 'Em Blood . Individual concerts on this tour also took place in Italy , Switzerland , Austria , Poland , Hungary and the Czech Republic . On April 22, 2012 Silent Screams performed at the Hit The Deck Festival in Nottingham . There also played Yashin , Shadows Chasing Ghosts , Kids in Glass Houses , The Wonder Years , Of Mice & Men and We Are the In Crowd . In May the group started their UK tour. On June 30th and July 1st, 2012 Silent Screams will be performing at the Ghostfest in Leeds . There are also Comeback Kid , Emmure , All Shall Perish and defeater confirmed.

In 2012 singer James Ryan left the band and was replaced by Joel Heywood. In February 2013 the band released their first song The Way We Were with Joel Heywood. In March 2013 the group toured with Carcer City as support through Belgium , Austria , Germany and Luxembourg . In June the group could be seen for the first time at the Mair1 Festival in Montabaur . After more shows and tours, the band returned home to write their new album, which was released on July 22nd, 2014 via Artery Recordings . It's called Hope for Now . The song Eighty Six was released in advance as the first single .
