At the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing there will be a total of 44 cycling decisions ; 30 for men, twelve for women and two in mixed . Of these, 21 decisions are made in track cycling and 23 in road cycling. The races will take place at the Laoshan Velodrome and the Changping Triathlon Venue between September 7th and September 14th.

Classes

When cycling, a distinction is made between the following disability classes:

Qualifications

188 athletes, 140 male and 48 female, qualified for the 2008 Paralympics. 177 athletes qualified directly, eleven more received a wildcard . These are not taken into account in the table.

The time traveled was multiplied by a factor that is calculated from the degree of disability. The places were allocated after the end time. So it was possible for both the gold and bronze medalists to set new world records in their disability class.

These times come from the qualification, in which Kenny again significantly improved his own world record. The race for gold between him and Yong-Sik Jin, however, ended prematurely, as Kenny was superior and lapped the Korean before the 2000 m mark.
