The province of Souk Ahras ( Arabic ولاية سوق أهراس, DMG Wilāyat Sūq Ahrās , tamazight ⴰⴳⴻⵣⴷⵓ ⵏ ⵙⵓⵇⴻⵀⵔⴰⵙ Agezdu n Suqehras ) is a Wilaya in the far east of Algeria .

The province lies on the Tunisian border, it includes the city of Souk Ahras and its surrounding area and has an area of ​​4029 km².

Around 411,000 people (2006 estimate) live in the province, so the population density is around 102 people per square kilometer.

The capital of the province is Souk Ahras , the former Tagaste.
