Stechlin is a municipality in the northwest of the Oberhavel district in Brandenburg . It belongs to the Gransee office and municipalities .
geography
The municipality of Stechlin is located in the Stechlin-Ruppiner Land Nature Park and borders in the north on the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The community area includes the Große Stechlinsee , at 70 m the deepest lake in Brandenburg.

The municipality of Stechlin was formed on September 27, 1998 through the merger of the former municipalities of Menz, Neuglobsow and Dollgow.
