Steffen Nkansah (born April 7, 1996 in Münster ) is a German soccer player .
Life
Nkansah was born in Münster , but grew up in the Palatinate . His father is from Ghana .
Career
After starting out in the youth team of FC Bavaria Wörth and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , he moved to the youth department of Borussia Mönchengladbach in summer 2014 . After two seasons in the second team, he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig in the summer of 2017 . There he came to his first professional usage in the 2. Bundesliga , when he, on 18 August 2017 the 3rd Matchday 1: 1 home draw against FC Erzgebirge Aue in 65 minutes for Hendrick Zuck came on . Six more second division appearances followed, with Eintracht Nkansah still had to relegate from the second division at the end of the 2017/18 season . In the 3rd league he developed into a regular player in the Braunschweig defense. In the 2019/20 season he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with the team.
National team
Nkansah has played a total of 19 international matches for the U-16s to U-19s of the German Football Association .
