Steven Andskär (born October 30, 1964 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish racing driver .

Career

After starting out in karting , Andskär began monoposto racing in the mid-1980s . In 1984 he finished fifth overall in the Swedish Formula 3 Championship and a year later he won the overall ranking of the Nordic Formula 3 Championship. After he failed to gain a foothold in Formula 3000 at the end of the 1980s , he concentrated entirely on a career in sports cars from 1989 onwards .

He had already competed sporadically in the Japanese sports car championship since 1986 , where in 1989 he was able to celebrate his best international result to date in a Porsche 962C GTi from Trust Racing behind compatriot Stanley Dickens and Kunimitsu Takahashi with third place in the championship.

He competed six times in the Le Mans 24-hour race , with fourth place in 1994 as the best result. Andskär drove until 1998 when he retired from racing.
