life and career

So he was together with Lu Yen-hsun , who could also win 16 Challenger individual titles (now has 29), record holder in this category. On the World Tour , he celebrated his greatest success in 2005 with his victory in the doubles competition at the home tournament in Tokyo . Together with Satoshi Iwabuchi , he defeated Simon Aspelin and Todd Perry in two sets in the final . In Grand Slam tournaments he reached the second round in singles at the Australian Open in 2005 and 2003 at Wimbledon . A total of twice he took part in the Australian Open in doubles competition and reached the round of 16 in 2005.
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , Suzuki took part in the doubles competition for the Japanese team . Here, too, he already played together with Satoshi Iwabuchi, with whom he defeated the Venezuelans Juan Carlos Bianchi and Nicolás Pereira in three sets in the first round . In the second round, however, they were just as narrowly defeated by the Spaniards Sergi Bruguera and Tomás Carbonell .
From 1995 Suzuki plays for the Japanese Davis Cup team . With currently 41 games won and 31 games played, Suzuki is not only the most successful player in Japanese Davis Cup history, but also the record player in his country.
