Teófilo Antonio Gutiérrez Rocancio (born May 17, 1985 in Barranquilla ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with Atlético Junior .

Career

Junior

Gutiérrez began his career in 2006 at the Colombian second division club Barranquilla FC , which is considered a talent factory and youth department for the traditional club Junior from Barranquilla . From 2007 to 2009 he then played at Atlético Junior .

Trabzonspor

From 2010 he works for the Turkish association Trabzonspor . Trabzonspor paid a transfer fee of 2.1 million euros for Teófilo . Teófilo Gutiérrez scored his first competitive goals for Trabzonspor on August 7, 2010 in the 2010 Turkish Supercup . Racing Club

Towards the end of the tournament in May 2014, Teo scored a 5-0 goal at his team's goal festival against Quilmes AC , a result that marked the club's thirty-fifth national title and the first title for Teo in Argentine football. River then won the Copa Campeonato Cup against San Lorenzo de Almagro and although Teófilo was not in the game, he would add his second title.

On December 10, 2014, he won his first Copa Sudamericana , third title with the Argentine club. He scored 17 goals in 36 games with the Buenos Aires team in 2014 . Sporting Lisbon

National team

He has now made 49 appearances for the Colombian national team and scored 15 goals. He took part in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (4 games and one goal) and in two Copa América , one in Argentina in 2011 and one in Chile in 2015 . In all three tournaments Colombia made it to the quarter-finals.

Colombian U-23 National Football Team / Olympic Games

Teófilo Gutérrez took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and was eliminated with his team in the 4th game (quarter-finals) 0-2 against the hosts Brazil . Overall, Colombia took 7th place. He also took part in two other games for the U-23 national team.
