The film Broken Hearts Club - A Romantic Comedy tells the story of a group of homosexual friends in West Hollywood. Directed by Greg Berlanti , comes from the the screenplay.

The group includes Dennis, a photographer who often takes care of keeping friends together; Cole, a handsome and charismatic actor who - mostly unintentionally - ends up in bed with other people's friends; Benji, the youngest member of the group, with a penchant for muscle-packed men; Howie, a psychology student, known for analyzing every situation in depth; Patrick, the group's cynic, and Taylor, who often boasted about his long-term relationship that was just breaking up.
Above all stands restaurant owner Jack, who supports them with his advice. However, the friendship is put to the test when Cole introduces his latest conquest, 19-year-old Kevin to the group. The eight friends have to cope with some severe blows and tragedies.
