Thomas Graessle

Thomas Gräßle (* 1976 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German actor .

Life

Thomas Gräßle grew up in Esslingen am Neckar . He studied acting from 1998 to 2002 at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .

He initially had theater engagements at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern , the Württembergische Landesbühne Esslingen (2005–2007) and at the Theater Lübeck (2007–2009), where he played numerous roles in the classical and modern theater repertoire. At the WLB Esslingen he appeared as Wallenstein and Wilhelm Tell , at the Lübeck Theater he played the male title role in Kasimir and Karoline and Don Carlos .

From 2009 to 2019 he was a permanent member of the Munich Residence Theater . At the Bavarian State Theater he worked a. a. with the directors Martin Kušej , Andreas Kriegenburg , Mateja Koležnik , Oliver Haffner , Marius von Mayenburg , Enrico Lübbe , Niklaus Helbling , Tina Lanik , Anne Lenk and Kristo Šagor . His roles there included August Keil in Rose Bernd , Paul Kreindl in Das weite Land , Erich Spitta in Die Ratten , Aslaksen in Ein Volksfeind and Count Lerma in Don Karlos .

In 2010 he was awarded the Kurt Meisel Prize of the Friends of the Residenztheater. Since 2012 he has also been teaching as an acting lecturer at the Bavarian Theater Academy in Munich .

He has been working as a freelance actor since summer 2019. In the 2019/20 season he was a guest at the Bavarian State Opera in the opera The Snow Queen by Hans Abrahamsen .

He also stood in front of the camera for film and television productions. For the cinema he shot a. a. with Nikolai Müllerschön , Doris Dörrie , Christian Bach , Oliver Hirschbiegel , Tim Trachte , Eva Trobisch and Alireza Golafshan .

He also had episode roles in the TV series Um Himmels Willen , Die Chefin and SOKO Munich and acted in various television films. In the 44th season of the ZDF series Der Alte (2020), Gräßle took on one of the episode roles as a suspect investor on Lake Starnberg .

Thomas Gräßle works regularly as a speaker for radio , a. a. at Bayerischer Rundfunk and for the radio crime scene . He lives in Munich.
